SanStone ???

Who is SanStone, and what do they actually do. You see their advertising on WLOS tv in Asheville. I have been looking at these people for a long time. The Hendersonville Times News says Pardee Hospital sold Pardee Care Center to Hendersonville Physicians and Associates. The associates part is the Sprenger family from Ohio.
According to Medicare.gov, the operating company is Ardent Health and Rehabilitation. The Ownership is a long list of Sprengers , Flat Rock Management Company , BSH , Bluesky Healthcare , Hendersonville Physicians and associates, and a long list of names , some of them recognizable as local doctors. So who is SanStone? There is no mention of SanStone on the Medicare.gov website.
From what I can find, SanStone has nothing to with Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation. Yet they spend all that money advertising for them? There is nothing listed on the NC Secretary of State website about SanStone health and Rehabilitation. There is a SanStone aviation and a SanStone hosiery. I'm somewhat confused as to why they are advertising for something that doesn't even exist.
In their ads, they tell you how great their facilities are, and how they treat you like family. I guess that means you get partial ownership interest in the facility?
If they are so great, how come no one admits to ownership? How come Christopher Sprenger and Michael Deloach are listed as managing employees? My guess would be that they are drawing a salary from each of the SanStone facilities. But wait who is SanStone?

President Obama expressed concern about the future of Medicare last night in his State of The Union Address. The problems that plague Medicare are some of the very same issues I have been writing about.
The nursing home business is a cesspool of thieves taking advantage of Medicare. I have written to Congressman Mark Meadows, and comically received a response to gun control issues. I have written twice to the White House, I received two generic answers.
I know there are committees involved in Medicare issues. I am trying to get an audience with those people. I need your stories, and your help.
In order to have any security in our old age we must take action. How many of you have witnessed the horrors of what happens in a nursing home? How many have just chosen to let it go. They are counting on your believing that old people die They are confident that you will find peace in letting it go. Help me prove they are wrong. You can contact me at 828-697-6823 or at jaemark7@bellsouth.net. Please help me make a difference.
Maybe you know about something that can help. Maybe you have worked at one of these places and have witnessed the horror first hand. It has to stop. Please help change the system, before we enter into it. I have contacts that will listen, but people have to get involved. If you know me, talk to me. It takes more than one to make a difference.

Christopher Sprenger, Michael Deloach, Larry Joe Russel, Sanstone.
Today would have been Mom's 78th birthday, all of the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, would have been at her house later today for a celebration of her birth. Mom loved being surrounded by her family, and she sure loved cake!
The house now sits empty, supposed to be auctioned on the courthouse steps Thursday, January 31.
The house was spared for now, given until March.
Mom was not so lucky, her life ended early the morning November 3, 2011, at Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation. She was supposedly found slumped over in her bed . There was nothing to indicate that she was in any distress before that morning.
The story is that she was assisted to the bathroom and back to bed. The nurse on duty that morning said she passed by the room and Mom was laying in a strange position. The nurse said she called Mom from the door, and Mom did not respond. The nurse then entered the room and found her without a pulse and not breathing.
Mom was a fighter, she had been through a lot since her surgery in September. She was determined to go home. Her worst fear was to die in a nursing home. There is not a day since her death, that I have not thought about that. Mom was supposed to be discharged on the day of her death.
Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation became her worst nightmare. There are some people that know what really happened that morning . They have all been replaced by people willing to lie for money. There is no doubt in my mind, that at least one of those people is not sleeping well at night.
My mission is to expose the horror of life and death in one of these horrible places. I would welcome the truth from anyone who actually knows what happened.
I am tired, I am sad and I am really angry. I will not stop until the truth is known. People are still dying at Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation, and the other SanStone properties. Larry Joe Russell is still signing a whole bunch of death certificates. They can be stopped, it will take more than this blog to make that happen. Get involved. Together we can make a difference!!!

SanStone, Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation ,Michael Deloach, Christopher Sprenger,  Dr. Larry Joe Russell, Susan Habel RN, Lara Mooney LPN, Cookie Romeo, and NCDHHS. It has become obvious to me that the people in your "care", are nothing more than billing codes and case numbers. I am writing this to let you know that they are more than that to their families and loved ones. They are Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Mothers, Fathers, Aunts, Uncles, Husbands, Wives and friends.
Yesterday I went by my Mothers house, that is being foreclosed on by the bank. The house is empty, due to a fire last January 21. As the administrator of Mom's estate, I am coordinating the repairs, and went by to see what progress was done. The house is completely empty, the contents thrown in a dumpster out front, due to smoke damage. In one bedroom it was strange to see that someone had placed a one piece Nativity on the empty book shelf.
The rest of  the house was cold and empty. My wife and son and I walked from room to room surveying the progress and the existing damage. I cant tell you what was going through their minds, but I was overcome by sadness.
Then I went into what was the dining room, where we had gathered with the entire family for Christmas, Easter, and other special days over the years. There on the wall, were all the names of the kids in the family, with a line and a date to see how they had grown over the years. It was all I could do to keep it together as I saw my sons name and date by a line that was maybe three feet high, and I looked at him now at close to five feet. I took several pictures of that wall. To all those names Mom was much more than a billing code. She was the center of all of those lives.
All the grandchildren, and great grandchildren , Kenzie was the highest name on the wall, and Clancy was the lowest. Daniel, Aiden, Bradley, Erin, Adam, Kaylee, Lily, each had multiple lines on the wall. Those are the ones that were local, then there is Lee, Ben and Nick in Georgia, and Julia, and Brianna both grown up by the time the wall began.
I'm sure that your nursing homes and staff are responsible for ending more family walls than I can imagine. I hope that all of the people listed in the first line, dream of walls full of names and dates with the little lines, telling the family histories of the people that died in their care. If that were the case, Dr. Larry Joe Russell would never sleep!!

SanStone is at it again. According to a January 12 article in the Hendersonville Times News, they are building a new nursing home in Mills River. Mills River Health and Rehabilitation. From what I can tell, they are replacing the old Beystone Health and Rehabilitation. Beystone is located on the grounds of Fletcher Academy across from Park Ridge Hospital.
All I can say is, something smells a little fishy. According to a previous Times News article, SanStone is partnering with Fletcher Academy in this venture. What does a private High School have to do with a nursing home? Could it be that being partners with a "non profit" high school, provides some sort of tax loophole? That would be my guess.
According to Medicare.gov, Beystone has a one star rating, much below average. I read an inspection report, where they left a woman in the same soiled clothes for almost three whole days. I guess it should be comforting to know that they are promising the same " quality of care " in the new facility. At least Granma will be sitting there in a new building, with fancy lighting, in her food stained clothes! Come on people, wake up. SanStone , who are they? The Times News says they are an Asheville based company. I would seriously question that fact.
Mills River, soon to be home to the new Sierra Nevada brewery, and another Sanstone death resort. Look these people up. Who are they really? Are they an Asheville based company, or a subsidy of some company in somewhere like Ohio? I know SanStone has a really nice office in Biltmore Park, but I have been there several times, and have never seen anyone there.
All I can say, is based on what information is public, be prepared to hear a lot of sirens at night. And don't be surprised when someone's mother or father " escapes " and shows up at the Sierra Nevada brewery in their soiled clothes, looking for the tasting room!
As for the nursing home itself, I wager they are planning on moving all the old beds and furniture  from Beystone to the brand new building. They will file a certificate of need with the NCDHHS. They will get a little help from their friends at DHHS, and they will have a new facility, full of antiquated beds and equipment. Someone is definitely getting rich off the elderly in Henderson County NC. Is it Christopher Sprenger and Michael Deloach, or is it some investment company in Ohio? Anyone know for sure?

SanStone, Dr. Larry Joe Russell , Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation , Pardee Hospital, NC Medical Board, NC Board of Nursing, NC State Medical Examiners Office. NC Pharmacy Board. The one thing they all have in common, is that I filed a complaint with or against all of them. The other thing they all have in common, is that none of them found or did anything wrong.
I have read countless articles and spent hours and hours researching the laws and rules that govern them. There are obvious violations, and some not so obvious. The one thing for sure is that the agencies governing them do not care. As long as the money continues to flow, they will continue to ignore the violations.
I know of instances where patients were dropped, and they died ten days later. I looked up their death certificates and the cause of death listed by Larry Joe, Failure to thrive and dementia! There was actually an amended death certificate that listed the cause of death as subdural hemorrhage. I would assume that a real doctor would have noticed something wrong. I have done research, and a simple test of pupil dilation would have been reason for more tests.
I have talked to many people that have stories about their loved ones. I cant think of one that has anything good to say. My opinion, is that if you can survive the lack of care at one of SanStone's facilities, you truly deserve to live. Only the strongest survive, and believe me , if they survive, they sure deserve a better life.
I am currently in contact with someone in the media, who wants to tell the story. If you have any suspicions, that something isn't right, let your voice be heard. If you have specific knowledge that laws have been broken, or if you work or worked for someone who broke these laws, contact me. I will assist you in following the channels to get something done. Please do something. Together we have enough power to make a difference. You can contact me at 828-697-6823. Leave your name and number, and I will contact you. I will not disclose your name or any personal information. Make a difference, its time to stand up to these money hungry pigs, and honor the loved ones we have lost.

SanStone , Dr Larry Joe Russell

When you think of Christmas, you have to think of family. You have to have memories of your childhood, and most of all your parents. This Christmas was different from those of the past. Mom died November 3, 2011, last year was the first Christmas without her . Traditions were gone, and I was not exactly sure how to start new ones.
Mom's house always meant food and lots of people. There were all the children running around opening gifts, random hugs from family and friends. There was a feeling that you belonged there, and that no matter what was happening in your life, it was all ok. No one was ever in a hurry to leave after the meal, or the gift exchange. We were a family.
This year, my family and I went to Florida on Christmas Day. Home just didn't feel right to me. There was something missing, and I could not seem to get in the spirit of the season. I hope my wife and two sons understand what was wrong with me. Mom was gone, and I just wanted to run away, I felt if we were somewhere else, it might be better.
My Mom loved Florida, she loved the beaches, the different cultures and the food. As I made the drive, memories of my Mom, and my childhood passed through my mind. Special times crammed into the car with my brother and sisters. Always a new adventure to be had.
I am now responsible for my family's Christmas memories. My hope is that I can do half as good as my parents. I promise my family, that next year will be different. I will never forget my Mom, or Dad ,and  I will do my best to honor them both.
I will continue to do whatever I can to expose the terrible things that happen at Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation.  Dr. Larry Joe Russell will always be on my radar. Sooner or later, people will realize what you are doing. I will not stop looking until you are exposed! That's my promise to you in honor of my Mom.
